Tea With a Twist
4 cups cold strong tea*
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup fresh grapefruit juice
1/4 to 1/3 cup sugar Strips of orange and grapefruit peel
In
a large pitcher combine tea and juices. Add sugar to taste. Serve
over ice cubes . Tie a strip of peel into a knot and use as a garnish.
Makes 6 (8 oz.) servings. *To brew strong tea, use 4 1/2 cups water
and 10 individual tea bags.
Citrus Spritzer
2 cups fresh orange juice
1/2 cup dry white wine Ice cubes
1 cup carbonated water, chilled
1 Valencia, cut into wedges
In
a pitcher combine juice and wine. Add ice cubes. Slowly add the carbonated
water. Serve in wine glasses or punch cups. Garnish with orange wedges.
Makes 4 (7 oz.) servings.
Orange Freeze
11/2 cups fresh orange juice
1-pint vanilla ice cream (slightly softened)
Process
orange juice and ice cream in blender at low speed until smooth. Pour
over cracked ice, garnish with orange slice and a sprig of mint. Yield
3 cups.
Grapefruit
Honey Flip
1-cup fresh grapefruit juice
1 cup milk 1/3 cup honey
1 small banana
Put
ingredients into blender. Cover and process at high speed until smooth.
Yield 3 cups Tropical Orange Freeze 11/2 cups fresh orange juice 1
pint orange sherbet 1 banana Whip in blender until thick and creamy.
Serve in frosted glass, garnished with a slice of orange. Yield 3
cups.
